OBSERVE, QUESTION, CONNECT
This is where I’m supposed to say impressive things about me and talk about myself in the third person… But, that doesn’t feel right. My ego would relish it for a moment -then I’d feel terrible for blowing my own horn while hiding what makes me a normal human being. So here’s the closest fit to a “regular bio”…
I have a healthy disdain for the certainty-based narratives peddled by most “experts” and talking-heads. Personally, I’m not an “expert” at anything specific. And I don’t have the answers to most problems and situations.
I prefer to listen, observe, reflect, question, and respect.
And try to connect the dots inside my head…
This seems to be what I’m good at.
NATURALLY SLOW
I’m an introvert and enjoy being alone. I do like people, but also cherish my privacy and my time inside my own head. Even if to the outside world, it looks like I don’t “work”…
I’m a slow thinker. I daydream, walk aimlessly, and jot down random ideas with a pen and paper… Phone and emails turned off for hours at a time. That’s old-school, but that’s what works for me…
These are my ‘natural ways’.
‘Slow’ brings me sanity and serenity.
WHAT TO ENGAGE WITH, AND SAY NO TO
In these crazy times, I reckon sanity and serenity are highly valuable, yet highly underrated.
They help me know what to say ‘no’ to… And what I should engage with.
And over the past few years, I’ve allowed myself to explore these natural inclinations. I’ve reinvented myself as a writer, partner, strategist, adoptive uncle, investor… Among other things.
But I think I’m just getting started. Time will tell what else I feel compelled to explore!
